With the requirement of packaged substrates, micro via technologies, and flex designs having nearly doubled in implementation since the year 2000, PCBiS is aggressively addressing customers new design requirements and implementing CAD procedures and or checklists to handle each new technology created within our CAD tool environment.
Our PCB Design Services are aimed at advanced packaging requirements for prototype or production, creating complex HDI PCB high speed and analog designs, thick film designs using sequential build-up (SBU) technologies, and multilayer flex and rigid-flex designs. Prior to PCBiS we completed an extremel large optical network design with 72 BGA's on a single printed circuit board with over 30,000 pins.
Our PCB Design Projects have included a wide variety of network and computer product applications such as a highly integrated compact single board computer based on the Intel XScale architecture using 1mm, .8mm, and .65mm BGA's, with plans to implement .5mm BGA's on similiar designs. Our HDI substrate designs and our rigid-flex designs have been used for precision pressure instrumentation from sensors to complete systems for environmental, industrial, and aerospace applications.
A smaller part of the business is Electrical Engineering and Design aimed at network and computer products such as the computer design mentioned above. Our most recent design project included a single compact control board used by manufacturers for three different applications which also required three different assembly populations. We then finished the schematic and pcb layout with ICT testpoints included.
